Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano brought the national government's "Chikiting Ligtas 2023" campaign to the barangays when she visited a barangay in the city to push the supplemental immunization program.
Cayetano went to Sitio Pusawan in Barangay Ususan together with employees of the Taguig City Health Office.

She went to the area for the implementation of the Rapid Convenience Monitoring, a method in which a medical team visits 10 homes to confirm if people in the household are vaccinated. During the visit, the team members check if the kids are already vaccinated against measles and rubella. In support of the Department of Health’s “Chikiting Ligtas” program, the city government held a massive immunization campaign to vaccinate children, nine to 59 months, against measles. Cayetano’s aim is to provide protection to children in the city against illnesses that can affect their health and growth. UNICEF said about 67 million children around the world failed to entirely or partially get immunized from 2019 to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Philippines ranked second to the highest number of children with zero doses in East Asia and the Pacific Region, and fourth in the world.
