This remarkable achievement shows the PRC's dedication to offering the highest quality blood and blood products to the communities it serves.

The purpose of an EQAS is to assess the participating laboratories by examining the integrity of their entire sample testing procedure, thus ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the results.

"We are immensely proud of our 30 Blood Centers for their exemplary achievement in the 2022 EQAS evaluation,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Gordon said in a statement issued on June 1.

“This accomplishment reinforces our dedication to delivering the best possible care to our blood recipients," he added.

Dr. Gwendolyn Pang, secretary general of the PRC, also praised the accomplishment saying, "The 100% passing rate in the EQAS is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff. It highlights the rigorous standards we uphold in providing safe and reliable blood transfusion services. Congratulations to all involved."

The Philippine Red Cross remains committed to upholding the highest standards for laboratory testing.

Also, the PRC guarantees the health and safety of individuals who rely on its services by adhering rigidly to industry standards of excellence. (Rhowen Del Rosario)
