BACOLOD CITY – About 400 grams of suspected shabu worth P2,720,000 were seized from two drug pushers who were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 10 here on Wednesday, May 31.

(Photo courtesy of Llanee Zil Menardo) The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU)-Western Visayas arrested the subjects identified as Jojo Segovia, 21, of Barangay 2, and Lijun Tayona, 35, of Barangay Pahanocoy here. Police recovered from them the P100,000 marked money and non-drug items. Both are detained at Police Station 2. Segovia is identified as a high-value individual (HVI) while Tayona is a street-level individual (SLI), according to the police. In a media interview, Police Major Rommel Anicete, RPDEU head, said Segovia had been under close surveillance the whole month of May. Anicete said that Segovia is included in their priority target list on the regional level. He said they will check the background of the two suspects to determine if they have previous cases.
