Marcos congratulated the licensure exam passers through a Twitter post on Wednesday. "Congratulations to our new certified public accountants!" he said. "May this feat inspire more of our countrymen to join this vital profession and make a significant impact on our workforce. Our government is committed to supporting you," he added. According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 2,239 out of the 7,376 examinees passed the May 2023 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE).

It translates to a 30.36 percent passing rate. Alexander Salvador Centino Bandiola Jr. from the University of the Cordilleras topped the CPALE.
