Man wanted for rape arrested in Pasay City

A 31-year-old man wanted for rape was arrested by members of the Pasay City police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) during an “Oplan Galugad” operation on Wednesday, May 31. The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as Leonard Trestiza, was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. along J. Isidro St., Barangay 153, Pasay City. Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief , said Trestiza was ranked as the second most wanted person in the city for rape. Uy said Trestiza was arrested by virtue of a warrant served by WSS operatives and issued by Judge Elenita Carlos Dimaguila, of Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 298. Dimaguila issued the warrant of arrest on March 14, 2023 with no bail recommended. The suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility.
