Nacionalista Party (NP) Spokesperson and Las Piñas City lone district Rep. Camille Villar has paid tribute to the late Negros Oriental Governor Jorge Carlo Joan "Guido" Reyes. Reyes was the successor of the late former governor Roel Degamo, who was gunned down in broad daylight outside his home in Pamplona town last March 4. "We, the Nacionalista Party, offer our deep condolence to the family of Negros Oriental Gov. Jorge Carlo Joan "Guido" Reyes, who has passed on after a lingering illness," Villar, a deputy speaker in the House of Representatives, said in a statement. "We remember Governor Guido as a kind, dedicated and passionate leader who has tirelessly advanced the welfare of his constituents. His wisdom and experience in public service has helped strengthen the party," she said. "We will forever honor his contributions as we continue [to] strive to become the leaders and public servants that our country needs," she added.
