Fire hits shanties in QC

A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City on Thursday, June 1. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze in Makaya Street was raised to the first alarm at around 9:11 a.m. It quickly escalated to second alarm at around 9:16 a.m. The BFP said the area was occupied by informal settler families. Authorities are still containing the fire as of this writing. This is a developing story.
