Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin, also belonging to the EXO subunit EXO-CBX, have notified SM Entertainment through their lawyer that they want to terminate their contracts. After the news reports came out, SM Entertainment said there are external forces trying to entice the three K-pop artists to sign contracts with them. “There are confirmed external forces making nonsensical proposals, such as saying that it is okay to sign a contract with them. They are committing an illegal act by enticing our artists to make the wrong decision and violate the exclusive contract or sign a double contract," SM Entertainment said. SM Entertainment also confirmed that it sent a letter to Big Planet Made Entertainment, which it accused as trying to poach EXO-CBX. Big Planet Made Entertainment is home to artists such as Viviz, Soyou, Ha Sung-woon and Lee Mu-jin. In response, Big Planet Made Entertainment denied the accusation. "We would like to inform you that the information reported today regarding our company is different from the truth. We have never met with the artists mentioned in the report, nor have we discussed or discussed any exclusive contracts," the agency said. It added, "MC Mong is not currently an executive director of the company, and he is not involved in any position, title, or management at all. We regret what the intention was to link the internal contract situation of another entertainment company with an unrelated head office.” “It is true that we recently received a content certification from SM in the name of the CEO, and we regret what the intention was to link the internal contract situation of another entertainment company to an unrelated head office, and if such claims continue, we will take strong legal action,” Big Planet Made Entertainment warned.
