LTO offers free theoretical driving course to mark 111th anniversary

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will be holding a free two-day theoretical driving course (TDC) seminar as part of the agency’s 111th anniversary celebration.

Roque Verzosa, director of the LTO-National Capital Region West, said the free TDC seminar will be of big help to those applying for student permit and driver’s license, particularly those who do not have enough money to shoulder its cost from driving schools.

The TDC is one of the requirements in the issuance of student permit and driver’s license.

Verzosa said the free 15-hour TDC is from May 11 to 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aside from the LTO-NCR-West main office at 20 G. Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, also providing free TDC is the Pasay City Licensing Center (PCLC), located on Domestic Road, Pasay City.

Verzosa reminded interested applicants that confirmed appointments are non-transferable and non-rebookable. They should also provide an active email address to receive a confirmation of the schedule one to two days prior to the chosen schedule.

"The received confirmation will serve as proof of your booking schedule before entering the office premises," Verzosa said.

He added that applicants must personally attend both sessions and that there will be limited slots due to social distancing.

"Please wait for further announcements on our Facebook page regarding the succeeding schedules if you were not able to secure a slot," he said.

The LTO official said those who are interested may click the link provided to apply or register.
