Cops net 16 drug peddlers, wanted persons in Bulacan

Eight alleged drug peddlers and eight wanted persons were arrested by the police in the province of Bulacan on Monday and Tuesday, May 8 and 9. Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said that the eight drug suspects were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of Bocaue, Pandi, City San Jose Del Monte, Pulilan, and Bustos police.

Confiscated were a total of 25 sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P28,712, the buy-bust money, and drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, hot pursuit operations by the tracker teams of Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), San Jose Del Monte, Bulakan, Criminal Investigation, and Detection Group (CIDG) Bulacan, Pulilan, Angat, Plaridel, and Hagonoy police led to the arrest of eight wanted felons. They were arrested for the crimes of Serious Physical Injuries, Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act , Theft, and The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 (RA 9165). The suspects have been placed under the custody of the arresting unit/stations. Appropriate charges will be filed against them.
