TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police arrested a farmer for illegal drugs during the implementation of a search warrant in her house in Barangay Lacnog East here on Sunday, May 7.
Suspect Marcelina Laguinday Eugenio, alias “Salen,” was listed as a high-value individual (HVI) drug personality and was previously convicted of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Eugenio was apprehended by the Kalinga Provincial Drug Unit, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Tabuk City Police Station, Regional Intelligence-Drug Enforcement Unit, 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15.
She yielded a medium, heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet with five small transparent packs of suspected shabu weighing four grams with a standard drug price of P27,200, a small bottle containing five milliliters of marijuana oil with an SDP of P250, weighing scale, 26 crumpled used aluminum foil, four small transparent plastic sachets with residue, an improvised tooter, and five used aluminum foil.
Search and inventory of evidence were conducted in the presence of the suspect along with his spouse and witnessed by the Department of Justice, representatives of the media, and a barangay official of Lacnog East.
