The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has intercepted an unidentified motor banca loaded with P600,000 worth of allegedly smuggled cigarettes from Indonesia.

According to the PCG, two undocumented Indonesian men identified as Fadli Machamud and Fajar Antanari were held under police custody as they tried to sneak 20 packs of cigarettes of unknown brand into the province.

The cigarettes came from Tinakarang, Marore Island, Indonesia, the PCG said.
“After the initial investigation and health check-up, Coast Guard personnel brought the Indonesians to the Maasim Police Station for case filing,” the PCG stated.
