Parañaque LGU offers free RT-PCR test to Philhealth frontliners, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities
The Parañaque City government announced that only health care workers, senior citizens and persons with comorbidities who are PhilHealth members and are symptomatic will be given free RT-PCR tests against Covid-19.

According to the advisory of the City Health Office (CHO), the free RT-PCR test for PhilHealth members to A1 categories applies to all workers in the health facilities both from national and local private and public.

Eligible frontliners must show a photocopy of their employer ID and their accomplished PhilHealth forms.

For the A2 categories, senior citizens aged 60 and above are prioritized in the SARS-CoV-2 testing. They must submit a photocopy of their senior citizens ID and the accomplished PhilHealth forms.

For the A3 categories, persons with comorbidities need to submit a doctors certificate, an order for the swab test, and the accomplished PhilHealth forms. Â
The CHO clarified that those who would require RT-PCR test for employment, travel and school enrolment purposes for students, along with tests for the dependents of PhilHealth members belonging to A1 (health care workers), A2 senior citizens and A3 (persons with comorbidities) shall not be entitled to the free swab test.
The RT-PCR test costs up to P2,800, while the SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing costs P660, said the city government.Â
