Motorcycle rider killed in freak accident in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – A motorcycle rider died after he was hit by a container van on Purok Langka Road, Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, May 6.

A MOTORCYCLE rider died after he was hit by a container van that detached from a trailer truck in Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Saturday, May 6. (Photo courtesy of Negros Occidental police) Police identified the victim as Johny Aguire of Barangay E. Lopez. Investigation said the motorcycle was on the opposite direction when the container van suddenly detached from a trailer truck after it passed by a bumpy road. The victim was struck and taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. The truck driver fled but he later surrendered to the adjacent police station in E.B. Magalona town, and was turned over to the police in Silay City.
