Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez recognized and awarded the athletes who represented the city in various sports competitions during a ceremony at the City Hall grounds on Monday, May 8.
Eros Baluyot, a native of Parañaque City, was named champion in Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) 84: RAGE on April 25. He defeated Elouie Frederick Sevilla.

Aside from Baluyot, Olivarez also gave recognition to young athletes who competed in the National Capital Region (NCR) Palaro 2023 on April 24 to 28.

Olivarez said the young athletes won gold and silver medals in swimming, billiards and other categories. He said the city is expecting the young athletes to compete again in the Palarong Pambansa on July 31 in Marikina City. The mayor was joined by City Administrator Atty. Voltaire Dela Cruz, District 2 City Councilor Tin Esplana, and City Youth and Sports Development Office officer-in-charge Alexander Dandan.
