Korea Post to issue commemorative stamps to mark BTS’ 10th anniversary in June 


K-pop icon and Grammy-nominated idols BTS will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on June 13. 

To mark the occasion, the Korea Post announced that it will issue commemorative stamps on June 13 containing BTS’ history in the past 10 years.

A total of 10 types of commemorative stamps will be issued totaling 1.5 million copies. Along with the commemorative stamps, 250,000 copies of commemorative stamp packets will also be sold. Each packet contains a stamp and a portrait of BTS. 

BTS debuted on June 13, 2013. The commemorative stamps are the images of BTS albums. These are “2 Cool for Skool,” “Skool Luv Affair,” “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1,” “Wings,” “You Never Walk Alone,” “Love Yourself: Tear,” “Map of the Soul: 7,” “Dynamite,” “Butter” and “Proof.” 

The Korea Post will hold a pre-sale on the Internet Post Office (www.epost.go.kr) for four days from May 22 to 25. The online pre-sale will be provided to customers who have registered as members of the Internet Post Office, and must register for pre-sale by May 21.

For overseas fans, an online pre-sale at www.koreastamp.or.kr will also be provided from June 1. A number of commemorative stamp packets issued will be sold and only only overseas customers can purchase it.

“It is very meaningful to issue a commemorative stamp with BTS, who are promoting K-pop worldwide.  We will try to make necessary and meaningful commemorative stamps in the future,” said Son Seung-hyeon, head of Korea Post

The selling price is 7,770 won (about $5.88) based on the purchase of 10 types of commemorative stamps, and the commemorative stamp packet is 20,000 won (about $15).
