Filipina powerlifter Joyce Reboton nabbed four gold medals in the women’s 76-kg open category and broke another Asian record at the Asian Equipped Powerlifting Championships in Alappuzha, India.
The 31-year-old Reboton raised 132.5 kilograms in the bench press, tallied 207.5kgs in the squat and lifted 215.5kgs in the deadlift for the gold and a new Asian record.
Her fellow Filipina Rikki Saul, who competed in the same category, also finished on the podium with four bronze medals.

The Philippine national powerlifting team brought home 28 medals from six different categories in the competition.
Back in February, Reboton broke the Guinness World Record for most female bodyweight squats with 49 reps, which was seven more reps that the previous record held by Kareenjeet Kaur of the United Kingdom.
