Charo Santos on doing impromptu scenes on 'FPJ's Ang Batang Probinsyano': 'Kakaibang experience po ito para sa akin'

Charo Santos Although she has worked in the industry for quite sometime now, veteran actress Charo Santos still has space for new experiences. During the thanksgiving media conference for "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" last May 4, Charo got candid about her experience doing on-the-spot scenes during their show. "Napakaibang experience po ito para sa akin kasi may mga eksena kami ni Coco na hindi naman namin ni-rehearse tapos biglang may itatanong siya sa akin na walang clue. Bigla na lang niyang itatanong kaya huhugot ka talaga sa pagkakaintindi mo sa karakter mo," she said. (It was a very different experience for me because there were scenes with Coco that we didn't rehearse, and then suddenly she would ask me something [that] I had no clue about. He will suddenly ask so you will really pull out of your understanding of your character.) After signing off to her longest drama anthology series, 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' in 2022, playing the role of Lola Tindeng in the series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" has been a blessing in disguise, according to Charo. 'And napakasarap kasi pag lumalabas ako hindi ‘ma’am Charo’ sa akin kundi Lola Tindeng,' she added. With her new working environment, Charo also mentioned that she was a bit challenged when she returned to doing the traditional way, including script reading. 'I had to re-adjust kasi kasama ‘yan. Kasi sa kay Coco bato-bato ng linya kaya kailangan sharp ang memory mo.' Charo also said.
