Rhenz Abando and the Anyang KGC survived the Seoul SK Knights with a 100-97 overtime win to claim the 2022-23 Korean Basketball League in their winner-take-all Game 7 duel at the Anyang Indoor Stadium on Sunday, May 7.

The Filipino import went on a scoreless outing and tallied only three rebounds after almost 28 minutes of play.

American import Omari Spellman took matters into his own hands after a 34-point explosion including 14 rebounds.

Anyang held a single possession lead, 74-71, going to the fourth quarter.

But Seoul was able to close in on the narrow gap and send the game into overtime at the end of regulation at 91-all.

The KGC only needed a telling 9-6 run to finish off the SK Knights and reclaim the championship title.

Kim Seonhyung scattered 37 points including five rebounds, 10 assists and five steals for Seoul in the losing cause.
