PH dominates OCR, sweeps four events

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia—The Philippine obstacle team completed a four-gold sweep at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games after it reigned supreme in the men’s and women’s team relays Sunday, May 7, at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center here.

The women’s crew of Marites Nocyao, Mecca Cortizano, Milky Mae Tejares and Sandi Menchi Abahan edged their Indonesian counterparts by a hairline with a time of 33.733 seconds to capture the gold, before the men’s squad of Ahgie Radan, Elias Tabac, Jose Mari De Castro and Mervin Guarte followed suit with a golden performance against their Malaysian foes in 24.478sec.

The triumphs came after Precious Cabuya and Jaymark Rodelas ruled the women’s and men’s individual Saturday, May 6.
