Most of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, May 7.
PAGASA said the easterlies or the warm air coming from the Pacific Ocean will be the dominant weather system that will bring hot and humid weather and localized rain showers or thunderstorms across parts of the country.
Meanwhile, the two low pressure areas (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA have no direct impact on any part of the country and have low chance of becoming tropical cyclones.
According to PAGASA, the LPA about 410 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan or 305 km northeast of Pagasa Island, Palawan will likely leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), while the LPA approximately 965 km east of northeastern Mindanao may enter the PAR on Sunday.
In addition, no gale warning is currently raised over any of the country’s seaboards, as the coastal waters will be light to moderate throughout the archipelago.
PAGASA said small boats and other sea vessels are safe to sail.
