The Parañaque City government will implement road closures along the stretch of Quirino Avenue in celebration of the Feast of San Nicolas, the patron saint in Barangay La Huerta, starting 2 p.m. up to 5 p. m. on Sunday, May 7.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said the roads that will closed are from the Kabihasnan intersection up to Don Galo-Sto Nino near the Sta. Monica Church.
Olivarez said the Traffic Parking and Management Office (TPMO) implemented the road closures to give way to the 147th traditional "Sunduan sa La Huerta" parade at 3 p.m.
He said the TPMO advised motorists to take alternate routes in going to their destinations as moderate to heavy traffic will be expected during the activity.
The mayor said Serenata for San Nicolas de Tolentino was offered by the community band of Las Piñas and Paranaque on Saturday, May 6.
A mass was also held at 8 a.m. by Rev. Francisco de Leon of Bishop Diocese of Antipolo at San Nicolas de Tolentino Chapel in Barangay La Huerta.
