P340,000 worth of shabu seized from three women in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) seized 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 from three women in a buy-bust operation in Purok Cheriza 2, Barangay 27, here on Sunday, May 7. Policemen arrested Emily de Asis, 42, and Juannie Villalba, 50, both residents of Barangay 27, and Michelle Abanilla, 27, of Barangay Tangub here. CDEU head Police Capt. Joven Mogato said that De Asis was arrested for a drug offense in December 2018 and was released from jail in March 2022 through plea bargaining. Villalba was also arrested for a drug offense in 2014 and was released five years later through plea bargaining, added Mogato. All three of them were street-level individuals, according to the police.
