LOOK: Bessie Besana is behind Pia Wurtzbach's beautiful wedding gown

"I really wanted a friend to make my wedding dress, and I was hoping it would be you."

One day in November 2022, Pia Wurtzbach invited good friend and fashion designer Bessie Besina to have breakfast in SoHo, New York. They were talking about their friend’s wedding when Pia told Bessie, “Since we are on the wedding topic, I really wanted a friend to make my wedding dress and I was hoping it would be you.”
“I wasn’t able to respond immediately because I honestly didn’t think that I was even going to be an option,” Bessie posted. “I want it to be done by a friend and you know me so much and I want you to be a part of my wedding,” reasoned Pia. Deep inside, Bessie wanted to cry but remained composed, going to designer mode and asked Pia to create a board for her wedding gown inspirations.
“I have worked with so many brides to know that choosing your wedding dress designer is a big decision to make, and all the more to dress Pia on such a big milestone in her personal life. The process went very smoothly and I was so happy with how much trust she has given me with my suggestions and technical decisions. Pia, you are truly a great person and I am eternally grateful for how much you have impacted my life. Thank you for always believing in me and my craft of fashion,” ends Bessie.
