BI urges public not to post fake news vs airport immigration officers

Bureau of Immigration (BI)  Commissioner Norman Tansignco has expressed his frustrations over the continuous spread of fake news on social media about immigration officers assigned at airports.

Tansignco stated that inaccurate information only leads to confusion and panic among travelers and urged the public not to post BI's airport operations without factual basis.

He added that the BI has received positive feedback on their operations and encouraged travelers to share their experiences on social media.

To prevent congestion,  the BI is posting photos of their operations every two hours during weekends and holidays.

Additionally, the BI is conducting pre-qualifying examinations for Visayas applicants from May 5-7 at the Cebu Doctors University, as they aim to hire the best of the best among their ranks.

The BI recently hired 147 additional immigration officers currently undergoing training at the Philippc.ine Immigration Academy.
