BACOLOD CITY – Brig. Gen. Orlando Edralin, commander of the Army 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde), vowed to continue pursuing the remaining New People’s Army (NPA) rebels operating in Negros.
Edralin made the declaration after troops from the 94th Infantry Battalion (IB) clashed with NPA rebels in Sitio Ulo-Tuburan, Barangay Buenavista, Himamaylan City on May 3 that resulted in the death of an alleged NPA rebel, and wounding of two soldiers and a female civilian.
The clash also displaced at least 100 residents.
