2 former NPA surrender in Nueva Ecija

Two former New People’s Army rebels surrendered in Nueva Ecija on Saturday, May 6. Police Col. Richard Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said “Ka Willy,” 62, turned himself in to the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and 703rd Brigade Philippine Army in Barangay Picaleon, General Mamerto Natividad. Ka Willy was a member of the Katipunan ng mga Samahang Manggagawa/Federation of Labor Organization (Kasama), the underground mass organization (UGMO) of Kadamay. The other surrenderer was “Ka Grace,” 52, of Barangay Balaring, General Mamerto Natividad. She was a member of Milisyang Bayan (MB) under Kilusang Larangang Gerilya-Sierra Madre. Ka Willy and Grace surrendered two guns and bullets.
