The Philippine men’s volleyball team was kept winless in the group stage after falling to Singapore, 23-25, 21-25, 18-25, in the men's indoor volleyball tournament at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Saturday night, May 6, at Indoor Olympic Stadium Phnom Penh in Cambodia.

The Filipinos suffered their third straight loss in Group A, but bid their medal hopes goodbye a game prior after absorbing a similar three-set defeat against the host Cambodia on May 4.
The rebuilding national team will be missing out on the podium for the second straight time since its historic 2019 silver medal feat.
But the nationals were doomed from the get-go as they were swept by defending two-time champion Indonesia in their opening affair.
Meanwhile, the Indonesians and Cambodians share an identical 2-0 slate in Group A and have advanced to the semifinals as the top two teams.
The Philippines came close to winning a set in the first two sets and led for the most part but lacked endgame poise to hold on to a potential victory.
In the third set, morale had completely gone down as the Filipinos couldn't recover from a six-point deficit against the Singaporeans, who cruised past for their first win in the pool play.
The Filipinos were relegated in the classification match for a fifth to eight place finish.
