Majority Leader Dalipe gives Facebook shout-out to DOTr chief; find out why

Zamboanga City 2nd district Rep. Mannix Dalipe has thanked the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for heeding his request for the release of P720 million for the land acquisition phase of the new Zamboanga International Airport Development Project. "Thank you DOTr Secretary [Jaime] Bautista for releasing additional budget allocation to Zamboanga City government for the continuing land acquisition phase," said Dalipe, the majority leader in the House of Representatives, in a Facebook post Saturday, May 6. "This is the result of the strong and harmonious partnership between the LGU (local government unit) and the national government," he noted. The amount is part of the P800 million that Dalipe secured in Congress in 2020. Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe is the majority leader's brother.
