A total of 24 drug suspects were arrested during the anti-criminality operations conducted by the Bulacan police on Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6.
Police said they netted 10 drug suspects, eight wanted persons, and six illegal gamblers.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the 10 drug suspects were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) of San Ildefonso, Bocaue, City of San Jose Del Monte, Plaridel, Marilao, and Pulilan City Police Station.
Confiscated from the arrested drug suspects were a total of 41 sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P136,700; buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, persistent pursuit operations by the tracker teams of Bulacan First and Second Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), San Jose Del Monte, Meycauayan, Bustos, and Norzagaray City Police Station led to the arrest of eight wanted felons.
They were arrested for the crimes of Serious Physical Injury, Republic Act 7610, Estafa, Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children, and Rape.
All accused are presently under the custody of the arresting station for proper disposition.
In another operation, 6 illegal gamblers were arrested in an anti-illegal gambling operation steered by the operatives of Angat and Obando Police Stations.
They were caught in the act of playing illegal card games and illegal betting games.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
Bulacan police continue to exert relentless efforts in pursuing criminals and locating individuals who are being sought by the law, in order to present them before the justice system, following the directives of Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., Central Luzon police regional director.
