2 drug pushers fall, P300,000 shabu seized in Ilocos

CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – Police arrested two drug pushers and seized suspected shabu worth almost P300,000 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Central East, Bauang, La Union, on Thursday, May 4. Police Brig. Gen. John C. Chua, Police Regional Office 1 chief, identified the suspects as Angel Luis Ocampo, 32, and Jovan Genove, 25. Chua commended the operating team which was assisted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 1 for the arrest. “This feat has set the mood to show the drug personalities out there that we take our anti-illegal drugs campaign seriously, and there will be no let-up. Let us continue to perform our mission with diligence and honesty to achieve a peaceful and drug-free community,” he said. He urged the public to report illegal drug activities to the police. Suspects are facing drug-related charges.
