Twin fires hit residential areas in Parañaque City; 1 hurt, hundreds displaced
Two fires razed residential communities in Barangays Don Bosco and La Huerta in Parañaque City on Thursday, May 4, causing injury to one person and displacing hundreds of residents.

The first fire affected 360 families along Tropical Compound, Dona Soledad, Better Living Subdivision, Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City. According to the Parañaque Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the fire started around 1:00 a.m. from the house of a certain Annaliza Villanueva. The BFP said the fire immediately spread to around 100 houses and establishments. One person, identified as AJ Enero, 18, suffered laceration during the incident. The BFP said the fire was raised to the fifth alarm with around 55 fire trucks from nearby cities responding. The fire was put out at around 4:46 a.m. The damage to property was estimated at P1,675,000. The second fire occurred at around 7:43 a.m. along J. De Leon St., in Barangay La Huerta. The BFP reported that two houses were gutted by the fire that was placed under control at around 10:01 a.m. The damage to property is still being estimated by authorities. The BFP said the causes of the two fire incidents are still under investigation.
