The men’s team of Jayr De Castro, Mervin Guarte, Elias Tabac and Ahgie Radan clocked 25.8566 seconds in the team relay elimination to arrange a gold-medal duel with Malaysia.

However, it was the Malaysians who proved quickest, posting 25.6236 seconds.

The women’s team of Mhick Tejares, Sandi Abahan, Tess Nocyao and Mecca Cortizano, for its part, timed 40.1780sec to go head-to-head with Indonesia for the top plum.

The Indons, for their part, timed 35.0435 seconds.

The team’s performance came a day after four Filipinos booked final berths in the men’s and women’s individual.

The PH team is hoping to replicate its successful showing in the 2019 edition held in Manila where the team completed a 6-gold sweep.

The event was shelved during last year’s Vietnam SEA Games.
