PH men’s and women’s indoor hockey team remain winless

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia—The Philippines continued its struggle in indoor hockey after its men’s and women’s teams succumbed to Singapore Thursday, May 4, in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center Dinasaur Park Hall here.

The women’s crew fell to their counterparts, 3-1, while the the men’s squad succumbed, 11-0, to remain winless in three matches in the group stage.

The women’s team opened its campaign on May 1 with a 8-0 defeat against Thailand, lost to Malaysia, 12-0, on May 2, and yielded to Indonesia, 14-1, on May 3.

The men’s squad, meanwhile, has yet to score a single goal as it stumbled to Thailand, 14-0, Malaysia, 19-0, and Indonesia, 20-0.
