Under Resolution 2023-229, Biazon will sign an agreement with DSWD-NCR Officer-in-Charge Director Michael Joseph Lorico that will allow the city government to distribute the social pension of P500 a month to qualified indigent senior citizens “to augment their daily subsistence and other medical needs.” “The distribution of the pension/benefit to the indigent senior who have passed the eligibility criteria/evaluation of the DSWD is downloaded to the local government unit which is better equipped to efficiently distribute the same albeit the latter has no participation in the evaluation of potential beneficiaries,” according to the resolution. Under Resolution 2023-229, Biazon will also enter into an agreement with the DSWD-NCR for the implementation of the SLP, which aims “to improve the socio-economic capacity of its program participants through a micro-enterprise development and employment facilitation program that shall ultimately provide a sustainable income source.” “Under the SLP, the city government and DSWD “can deliver package of services to address poverty. empower citizens. and promote inclusive growth through various livelihood programs, projects and activities.” "We are grateful for these initiatives of the national government that are aimed at improving the lives, especially of underprivileged Muntinlupeños, which is why we are supporting these programs," said Biazon.
