Water service interruption is expected to be experienced by residents in some parts of Metro Manila and Rizal from May 5 to 13 due to maintenance, the Manila Water announced on Wednesday, May 3.
Affected areas are some parts of Angono Rizal, Binangonan Rizal, Taytay Rizal, Taguig, and Makati.
The water service interruption in Angono Rizal from 10 p.m. on May 5 to 4 a.m. on May 6 is due to line meter replacement. Affected areas are Barangays San Isidro, Angono (San Martin Subd., Villa Gloria Subd., M.L. Quezon, Roman Reyes Compound, Manila East Road, Sitio Tinapahan, Sunrise Compound, Jasmin, Dama de Noche) and Kalayaan.
On the other hand, Binangonan, Rizal residents will experience water service interruption from 10 p.m. on May 5 to 4 a.m. on May 6 due to valve replacement.
Affected areas are Barangay Tagpos (Tagpos Lakeside, National Road from Teofilo to Bilibiran Bridge, Sitio Wawa), Tayuman, and Tagpos (Luklukan, Manggahan, Tuazon, Sitio Ibayo, L. Cenina, M.Picones, Tayuman Lakeside from Tayuman Elem. to Teofilo)
In Taguig, the expected water service interruption due to line meter and strainer declogging from 10 p.m. on May 5 to 4 a.m. on May 6. Affected area, Barangay Ibayo-Tipas.
Barangay San Juan in Taytay Rizal will also experience water service interruption due to line meter replacement on May 5 and 6 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
In Taguig, there will be maintenance services from 10 p.m. on May 8 to 4 a.m. on May 9 due to line meter replacement. The affected area will be Barangay Western Bicutan.
Barangay East Rembo of Makati is also expected to experience water service interruption due to line meter replacement from 10 p.m. on May 11 to 4 a.m. on May 12.
Manila Water also announced water service interruption in Taguig from 10 p.m. on May 11 to 4 a.m. on May 12. Affected areas are Barangay Palingon and Calzada. Also in Taguig, from 10 p.m. on May 12 to 4 a.m. on May 13, water service interruption is expected in Barangay Napindan, Ligid-Tipas, and Ibayo-Tipas due to declogging.
Manila Water reminded the residents of the affected areas to store enough water to supply their needs during the maintenance period. (Nicole Magmanlac)
