Japanese singer-songwriter YUKA's 'Baby You' hits 2 billion views

And that’s just in Southeast Asia


With just her debut single, YUKA is now taking on the global market with her catchy single “Baby You” topping the viral charts of Southeast Asia. Her single has been getting a lot of attention, especially in Japan. Using it as the soundtrack for dance videos, it was also ranked No.1 on Billboard's "TikTok Weekly Top 20" list on March 1.

A very impressive accomplishment for a newcomer, “Baby You” made the Spotify top 10 viral charts in six countries as well as ranking first on TikTok in Indonesia and top 10 in other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Korea. The song also made the Spotify Global Viral Songs Top 50 as of April 27.

The number of views of the song on social networking sites has already exceeded two billion, while the total number of TikTok posts exceeded 700,000 both domestically and internationally.  It has also exceeded 15 million worldwide in music streaming platforms.
