Seven houses were destroyed in a fire that hit a residential area in Muntinlupa on May 3.
According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the blaze occurred at about 5:16 p.m. at Block 8, Purok 1, Barangay Bayanan.

Seven single-story residential structures were involved in the fire. Eight families consisting of 37 people were affected by the fire.
The fire’s first alarm was raised at 5:22 p.m. before it was put under control at 5:47 p.m. It was put out at 6:08 p.m.
Investigators said the fire, which damaged P225,000 worth of properties, originated from a bedroom in one of the houses. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured in the incident.
A total of 16 fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the incident.
