TANAUAN CITY, Batangas – Police arrested two rape suspects in this city on May 3, Wednesday.

In a report to Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces, Police Col. Pedro Soliba, Batangas police director, identified the suspects as Joven Anillo, 36, tricycle driver and resident of San Pablo City, Laguna, and Crisanto Malabanan, 36, single, of this city. Anillo was arrested at 2:14 p.m. and Malabanan at 2:40 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion 3 on warrants issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 6 here. Suspects were accused of rape in 2008 in Barangay Balele here. They are now in the custody of the Tanauan police station for proper disposition. Soliba cited the arrest of the suspects. “We praise the successful operation of our police force. The anti-criminality and law enforcement operations of the PNP Batangas continue to hold accountable those responsible for the law and keep the province of Batangas safe, orderly, and peaceful."
