CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – Authorities arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu worth P544,000 in a buy-bust operation in Lingayen, Pangasinan before dawn on Wednesday, May 31.
Police identified the suspect as Mark Vincent Diaz Ampaya, 25, a water delivery boy, and a resident of Lucao District, Dagupan City.
Ampaya yielded 80 grams of suspected shabu.
Police Brig. Gen. John C. Chua, Police Regional Office-1 director, said the police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for a successful operation.
“This feat has set the mood to show to the drug personalities out there that we take our anti-illegal drugs campaign seriously. There will be no letup. Let us continue to perform our mission with diligence and honesty to achieve a peaceful and drug-free community,” he said.
Chua said that Ampaya faces drug-related charges.
Ampaya was taken to the Lingayen District Hospital for medical examination while the confiscated illegal drug was forwarded to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Lingayen for testing.
