ILOILO CITY – Suspected shabu valued at P1.46 million was seized and six suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Hippodromo here on Wednesday, May 31.
SUSPECTED shabu worth P1.46 million was seized in Iloilo City on Wednesday, May 31. (ICPO) Police identified the suspects as high-value individuals 37-year-old Jeffrey Pamosino, 36-year-old Joel Libuna, 23-year-old Vincent Paul Caturas, and 30-year-old Philip P. Esmao and street-level individuals 20-year-old Abbie Natinga and Jenelyn dela Peña. The group yielded a total of 32 sachets of shabu weighing 215 grams worth P1.46 million. Also recovered were cellular phones, weighing scales, a piece glass water pipe/tooter; three pieces lighter; an improvised stick, and other drug paraphernalia. The operation was conducted by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO)-City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), Police Station 1, and the Police Station 1 Drug Enforcement Team. Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, acting Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 chief, cited the operating units for their accomplishment. Suspects were charged for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
