Muntinlupa calls on volunteers for ‘Make Your City Proud’ program

The Muntinlupa City government is calling on volunteer eco-warriors to help clean up waterways and plant trees with rewards awaiting them.

It recently launched "Make Your City Proud” volunteer program that aims to address social issues such as environmental awareness through volunteerism and camaraderie among Muntinlupeños.

“Through this initiative, we aim to harness the synergy between the local government, the private sector, and citizen volunteers to achieve bigger goals together, instead of on our own," said Mayor Ruffy Biazon.

Volunteers will be given perks and incentives by the city government’s partners in the private sector. By participating in each activity, volunteers can earn and accumulate points that they can redeem for rewards in partner merchants such as Jollibee, Pancake House, Max’s Restaurant, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Seattle’s Best Coffee, and Art Fresh Chicken Corp.

On June 5, the MYCP will kick off the month's activities with a cleanup drive at Bayanan Baywalk.

The volunteers will return on June 24 to plant trees, bougainvillea, and palmera at the Bayanan Baywalk as well as at Weidmann, Putatan. This will be followed by a river cleanup drive along the Alabang-Cupang River on June 25.
