Man stabs wife, lover caught sleeping together in Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY – A 44-year-old man allegedly stabbed his wife and her lover after he caught them sleeping together in Abuyog, Leyte on Tuesday, May 30. Police identified the suspect as Gaudencio Permazo Jr. Initial investigation disclosed that Permazo tracked his wife, Annabel, 35, and her alleged paramour Alvin Panalayan, 28, of Davao City, in his mother-in-law’s house. Gaudencio found them in bed and stabbed them with a bladed weapon locally known as “pisaw.” Victims managed to run away despite sustaining multiple stab wounds and sought help from their neighbors. They were taken to the hospital while the suspect was arrested by responding police officers. He was taken to the local police headquarters along with the bladed weapon for proper disposition.
