CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Forty-three wanted individuals were arrested in a week-long intensified manhunt operation conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from May 21 to 27.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) arrested 16, followed by the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (PPO) with eight, Benguet PPO with six, Abra PPO with five, Apayao PPO and Kalinga PPO with three each, and Mountain Province PPO with two.
Eight were listed as most wanted persons. Four were on the provincial level, two on the city level, one on the municipal level, and one on the station level.
Meanwhile, as a result of intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 59 municipalities in the region and five police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 25 out of the 27 towns in Abra; five out of six in Apayao; seven out of 13
in Benguet; eight out of 11 in Ifugao; six out of seven in Kalinga, and eight out of ten in Mountain Province.
The Naguilian Police Station (PS) 1, Camdas PS 2, Loakan PS 4, Legarda Road PS 5, Aurora Hill PS 6, and Marcos Highway PS 10 recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City.
