Keds reimagines its iconic Champion sneakers with chunkier soles.

Are you a sneaker kind of girl or are you more into heels? This is a question many style-savvy ladies get. It is like a psychological test wherein their personality trait lies in the pieces they select. For many, it is kind of hard to answer. Sneakers give you that comfort, allowing anyone to go on an adventure free from any pain. While heels give people a boost, literally, providing them additional height and making them feel confident.  The thing is, ladies can have the best of both worlds these days. If they’re looking for that extra height without giving up comfort, all they need to do is look at Keds’ latest collection. Dubbed the “Platform,” the collection reimagines its iconic Champion sneakers with a chunkier sole. With a clean white leather upper, breathable twill lining, and a super-cushiony footbed, it’s perfect for the daily hustle.  For over a hundred years, the Champion has reinvented itself into many forms. But the beauty of its many makeovers is that you can still see Keds’ signature style in them, which is also the case in its “Platform” collection.  “The "Platform" collection is like the extension of our icon, the Keds Champion,” Marc Ivan Ong, Keds Philippines’ brand manager, tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “We want to be relevant to our consumers, in terms of looks and trends. We want to provide what they want, in this case, it is the height. Much like the Champion, pieces from the “Platform” line are versatile and can easily go with the pieces already in one's closet. Apart from the classic all-white sneakers, the collection also features Triple Up Canvas Foxing Stripe sneakers, a casual cool platform sneaker with a pop of sporty stripes. Something for the artsy gals are the Triple Up Abstract Floral Foxing sneakers with their dreamy swirls of pastel colors on the foxing.
