Two fast food restaurants in Muntinlupa will hire senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) as temporary workers as part of their corporate social responsibility.
During a public hearing by Majority Floor Leader Raul Corro, fast food restaurants Shakey’s Pizza and Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken agreed to hire a minimum of two senior citizens and PWDs.

Senior citizens will be assigned to work for a maximum of six hours a day for five days a week while PWDs will be allowed to work for up to eight hours a day for six days a week.
Each restaurant will assign senior citizens and PWDs to work as order presenters, for table setup, guest relations staff or front of house backup (utensils, plates, tissue and condiments).
PWDs may also be assigned to do housekeeping work such as sweeping, mopping, restrooms cleanup or cleaning the glass panels.
Qualified applicants are entitled to earn a minimum wage and receive 13th month pay and service incentive leave.
The senior citizens and PWDs will be employed for up to six months.
The following are the qualifications for senior citizens and PWDs:
A. For the elderly or senior citizens:
i. Must be sixty (60) years of age and above at the time of application;
ii. Must pass the physical, medical, and laboratory examinations, and be certified to be FIT TO WORK; and
iii. Must submit the following documents to the Restaurant Company:
a. Recommendation from the Public Employment Services Office;
b. Resume;
c. Medical Certification, indicating, FIT TO WORK;
d. Results of the physical, medical, and laboratory examinations;
e. Mayor’s Permit (Occupational Permit) to be issued by the Business Permit and Licensing Department.
f. Barangay Certification;
g. Police Clearance or NBI Clearance; and
h. Birth Certificate, or other competent proofs of identity, including Senior Citizen’s Identification Card;
i. Shakey's Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) Application form
B. For differently abled or persons with disabilities:
i. The individual must be Deaf or Mute (subject to subsequent inclusion of other differently abled individuals);
ii. Must pass the physical, medical, and laboratory examinations, and be certified to be FIT TO WORK; and
iii. Must submit the following documents to the Restaurant Company:
a. Recommendation from the Public Employment Services Office;
b. Resume;
c. Medical Certification, indicating, FIT TO WORK;
d. Results of the physical, medical, and laboratory examinations;
j. Mayor’s Permit (Occupational Permit) to be issued by the Business Permit and Licensing.
e. Barangay Certification;
f. Police Clearance or NBI Clearance; and
g. Birth Certificate, or other competent proofs of identity, including Person’s with Disability Identification Card;
h. SPAVI Application Form
i. Government issued ID’s - SSS, PHILHEATH, PAG-IBIG/ HDMF, TIN
