The PLDT High Speed Hitters have acquired the services of Royse Tubino for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference.
The team made the announcement on social media Tuesday, May 30, beefing up the squad that already has Mika Reyes and Dell Palomata. “More fire. More power. Just what we needed… Welcome to the PLDT fam, Royse!” the post read. The team had earlier released setter Wendy Semana and outside hitter Ysa Jimenez, giving them room to acquire Tubino. The 30-year-old has been playing for the Army Lady Troopers since 2019, but the squad announced it would skip the mid-season conference. The High Speed Hitters seek to improve their fourth place finish in last year’s conference.
