Max Collins explains silence about split from husband Pancho Magno

Max Collins finally confirmed what many have been speculating on for some time.

The actress revealed in a recent interview with Boy Abunda that she and husband Pancho Magno have indeed called it quits and that it happened amid the pandemic.

But why the silence?

Max explained, "I didn't talk about it because s'yempre, marami kaming pinagdaan as a family that time... there was a pandemic, nanganak ako, my marriage was falling apart..."

She added, "I had to process everything, and I wanted to quiet the noise. I didn't want to hear other's people's opinions, suggestions, comments...ayaw kong gawing teleserye 'yung buhay namin."

The actress made clear the decision was mutual and amicable.

"Every separation is difficult, but it was amicable," she related. "We were not working (out), and we needed to try spending time apart to see how that would work because we have a son to think about."

She maintained they tried to make it work but to no avail.

"Dumating 'yung point na we stopped becoming in denial about it," she said. "I didn't want to lie to myself anymore, and I think he didn't want to as well."

They have since decided to simply co-parent.

"We're in a very good place now. Our child is almost three, and he's very happy and healthy. We have a very good co-parenting relationship," Max shared.

As to her and Pancho, she said, "We're the best of friends, (and) we're closer now."
