Female store owner hurt in Quezon gun attack

QUEZON -- A female store owner was wounded after she was shot by unidentified riding-in tandem assailants while inside her store on Tuesday morning, May 30, in Barangay Calumpang in Tayabas City. Police report identified the victim as Ligaya Entiociamo Amargo, 62, and a resident of Vista Verde Subd. in Barangay Calumpang, Tayabas City. The victim was sitting inside her store when the suspects on board a motorcycle without plate number shot her at around 10:43 in the morning. The victim was rushed to the hospital. The suspects fled towards an unknown direction. The Tayabas City police immediately conducted a dragnet operation and at the same time alerted the nearby police stations on the incident. Police were still conducting an investigation for the possible identification of the suspects and determining the motives in the shooting.
