'It's Showtime' long-time audience coordinator Ervin "Dumbo" Plaza finally returned to the popular noontime program after being involved in a road accident last April.

During the opening segment, showtime hosts Karylle, Ogie, Vhong, and Ryan took the opportunity to welcome Dumbo back on the show.

''Syempre gusto ko rin i-welcome ang nagbabalik na si Dumbo, we miss you,'' Vhong said.

(Of course, I also want to welcome back our dumbo, we miss you)

''Isang palakpakan naman para kay Dumbolicious na miss na miss namin,'' Karylle added.

(A round of applause for Dumbolicious who we miss so much)

After the road accident, Ervin had to be transported quickly to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center.

Dumbo gained popularity after his occasional on-screen appearances whenever the hosts of the program brought him up in conversation.

Additionally, he has ties to several well-known people outside of the "It's Showtime" cast, including Sylvia Sanchez's family. In truth, the actress confirmed in 2020 that her son Arjo Atayde intended to create a proposal for Dumbo.
